Industrial Welding is one of the most challenging and hands-on fields in the sheet metal industry. The work varies from large-scale manufacturing to custom fabrication using state-of-the-art equipment. The ITI’s training gives apprentices the technical skills needed to work with industrial size machines and “heavy metals” up to one inch thick.

The ITI’s Industrial Welding curriculum covers the skills necessary for both shop and field work. This includes specialty work involving pipe welding, grinding and finishing, lagging, and hoisting and rigging systems. The specific welding skills taught through the ITI’s offerings all encompass safety as a priority while they teach current and new welding methods.
